Sami Bentroudi started cooking at the age of seventeen while he was studying in Paris France, he worked in several restaurants and got hooked for the love of cooking, he then enrolled in a culinary school located outside Paris, France where he learned the trade for two years.
After schooling he moved back to Italy where he worked in Napples and in Rome to excel in Italian cuisine.
He later moved to London England and started apprenticing in big hotels like the Empress Hotel and Hyde Park Hotel untill he moved to Vancouver and started to work in fine dinning restaurants to mention a few, Da Vito Restaurant in Gastown, La Casa di Emberto and Cafe de Paris from the late seventies till the early eighties when he opened Carmelo's in West Vancouver and remained there untill 1994 when he sold the restaurant to open Bravo Cucina.
